The eight tank types

The monthly log does not apply to an in-ground clearwell or a hydropneumatic tank. For a clearwell Tank Watch still tracks a yearly roof check and the 3 to 5 year inspection; a hydropneumatic tank is a pressure vessel, so it counts no roof or interior dates for it.

  1. Elevated tankA tank on legs or a single pedestal above the ground
  2. Composite elevatedA steel bowl on a concrete pedestal
  3. StandpipeA tall cylinder on the ground
  4. Ground-level steelA wide steel reservoir on the ground

  6. Buried reservoirA partly or fully buried reservoir
  7. In-ground clearwellThe monthly log does not apply; Tank Watch still tracks a yearly roof check and the 3 to 5 year inspection
